Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel or Entebbe Airport by our knowledgeable driver-guide for a scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes approximately 8-9 hours, during which we’ll make a stop at the equator in Kayabwe for some memorable photos and a brief break. Next, we’ll continue to Mbarara town for lunch at a local restaurant. As we drive through picturesque landscapes, including the stunning Ankole tea estates, we’ll pass through Kabale moving towards your lodge’s location. Upon arrival at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you’ll check in at Bweza Gorilla Lodge, where you can unwind with dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we’ll transfer to the park headquarters with packed lunch for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines and the assignment of gorilla families. Then, the adventure begins! The trek can vary in duration, lasting anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on where the gorilla family is located. As you navigate the lush forest, take in the vibrant wildlife surrounding you. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have up to an hour to observe these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. After your trek, you’ll receive a gorilla trekking certificate as a special keepsake. Return to the lodge to unwind, or opt for a community walk to visit the local Batwa community. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the amenities at Bweza Gorilla Lodge before dinner and your overnight stay.

After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, you’ll embark on the drive back to Entebbe or Kampala. Take in the scenic views along the meandering roads of Kabale, featuring picturesque landscapes and lush banana plantations. We’ll stop for lunch enroute, either in Mbarara town or another convenient location. Finally, you’ll arrive in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your unforgettable journey.
